Thursday A dry and fine day across Portugal and Spain though the odd isolated shower cannot be completely ruled out in southeast Spain. The Balearics, Corsica, and Sardinia are dry and fine with plenty of sunshine. A dry start for Italy with some afternoon showers here and there, mostly over central hilly areas. Some showers break out in the northern Balkans, well-scattered and mostly dry to the south. Greece is dry and sunny, a few local afternoon showers here and there. Cloudier skies across northern Türkiye with some patchy rain in places, dry and sunny further south. A fine day across France, hot to the south; cloudier to the north, this cloud extending into the BelNeLux area. Most of Germany will be dry and fine though cloudier in the far south and east with scattered showers. Rather cloudy still across much of eastern Europe with showery rain affecting Poland, Czechia, Slovakia, Austria, and Hungary. The showers will be frequent and heavy in Poland. A notable westerly breeze across eas t Germany through Czechia into Poland as well. Denmark is increasingly sunny. A largely dry and fine day with sunny spells across Norway and Sweden, though cloud will thicken in the west of Norway as rain moves in later in the day here, pushing into northwest Sweden late in the day. Afternoon showers form across Finland, most widely with heavy bursts in the south, but plenty of dry weather early and late in the day. Outbreaks of heavy showers in the Baltic States, notably Lithuania where they will be frequent and heavy with some thunderstorms.
